How the app works

• The core app works locally for Omer counting, reminders, and prayer flow.
• Social is optional and must be unlocked explicitly by the user.
• To unlock social, the user must choose a username, enter a phone number, and allow contacts access.
• If contacts are denied, the app remains fully usable in local-only mode.

What social includes

• Friend requests.
• Invite codes.
• Username connection.
• Progress visibility for accepted friends.
• Nudges.

What social does not include

• No public feed.
• No messaging or chat.
• No comments.
• No user-posted media.

Safety

If you no longer want social interaction with another user, you can block them in the app. Blocking removes the friendship or request, prevents future nudges, and hides the two users from each other's social discovery results. You can also report a user from the friend details screen if the account name or behavior is abusive, deceptive, or unwanted.

Deleting your social account

The app includes an in-app option to delete your social account. This removes your backend social data and returns the app to local-only mode. A separate destructive option also removes local app data from the device.

If you no longer have access to the app, use /delete-account to request account deletion from the web.
